Amazing (poem)

She’s thinks she's just a little girl,
Compared to this world,
She just doesn’t know it yet,
Pay close attention to the pavement and tell me if it’s wet…. Wake up, love.
You shine brighter than anyone and anything.
Hear it ring,
The bells on the wall.
The ones that tell you to leave, go into the halls.
So many faces, so many words,
So much unseen and too much unheard.
But you know it in your heart,
Now that you can see what once was apart from you.
See how they turn and watch as you walk,
How they pay close attention every time you open your mouth to talk.
You’re a star,
Just as you are.
You never even knew,
All that strength and beauty you have inside of you.
Amazing, it’s true,
Is the one word that best describes you.
